O noivo não poder ver a noiva antes da cerimónia é uma das tradições que mais confusão me faz. Não adianta, não a entendo por mais que me esforce.
Por mim, ele tinha ido comigo escolher o vestido! Já existem tantos motivos de stress que, sinceramente, acho que este era perfeitamente evitável. Tenho medo que ele não goste do vestido, que o ache muito isto ou pouco aquilo, que esteja à espera de um vestido mais discreto ou, pelo contrário, que o ache apagado demais. ..
Para minimizar os nervos, decidimos ver-nos um bocadinho antes da cerimónia. Por isso e porque acreditamos que o momento será muito mais especial se pudermos ser genuínos e efusivos na reacção e dar beijinhos à vontade, sem ter o padre ali ao lado e os olhos de todos os convidados em cima de nós. Será um momento único e só nosso (e do fotógrafo que estará a registar tudinho, claro!).
Vai, de certeza, ser um começo de dia perfeito em que vou poder dizer-lhe ao ouvido todas as formas como pretendo amá-lo até sermos velhinhos.

They say it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the ceremony. I say they don’t know what they’re talking about. To me, this is the hardest tradition to understand.
If it was up to me, he would have helped me pick the dress! There are already so many little things to stress over that I believe this one could be perfectly avoided. I’m scared that he doesn’t like the dress, that he thinks it’s to this, or to that, that he’s expecting something simpler or more over the top…
To minimize the nerves, we decided to see each other a little bit before the ceremony. For that and because we believe the moment will be that much more special if we can be genuine in our reaction, either it means jumping up and down or kissing till our lips hurt. Not having the priest there and all of our guests looking at us will make the moment totally ours (and the photographer’s, who will be there to capture every second of it, off course!).
It’s going to be a perfect beginning for our special day and I will be able to whisper in his ear every single way I plan to love him.
