A Christmas tree and a ukelele

Hoje foi o dia de decorar a árvore de Natal. A tradição cá em casa (posso chamar tradição a alguma coisa que acontece só há 2 anos?) envolve todo um ritual natalício onde não falta a música da época, as velas acesas e o sofá preparado com um verdadeiro arsenal de mantas e almofadas para, a seguir, desfrutarmos da nossa obra-prima bem quentinhos e confortáveis.

We decorated our Christmas tree today. The tradition (can I call tradition to something that we just started 2 years ago?) in our home is a full-on Christmassy enviroment. We light up the candles, put on some holyday tunes and prep the couch with every single blanket and pillow we can find so we can enjoy our masterpiece all warm and cozy.

O ukelele veio connosco do Hawaii e é o novo vício do homem (e músico) da casa. Ele consegue tocar tudo no ukelele. E quando digo tudo, é mesmo tu-do! Desde o mais recente anúncio na TV ao 'Somewhere over the rainbow' :)

The ukelele came with us from Hawaii and the man (and musician) of the house is totally addicted to it. He can play anything on it. And when I say anything, I mean A-ny-thing! From the last jingle comercial on TV to 'Somewhere over the rainbow' :)

Confirma-se meninas! Tudo o que disse aqui e aqui é mesmo verdade. Para nós, aquele momento a dois foi tão especial e tão nosso que não me imagino a vivê-lo de outra maneira. E não, a minha entrada na igreja não foi menos emocionante. Foi apenas mais tranquila e serena porque todo o nervoso miudinho foi vivido momentos antes, quando nos vimos e abraçámos pela primeira vez.

Quero agradecer ao Carlos Delicado e ao Carlos Ferreira, os nossos super parceiros naquele dia, por nos terem ajudado a registar estes nossos momentos para sempre!

It's true, girls! Everything I said here and here is so true. To us, that moment where we saw each other, was so magical that I can't picture myself living it in any other way. And no, it didn't take anything away from my walking down the aisle experience. It was just more peaceful and serene because all the jitters were experienced moments before when I hugged and kissed my honey for the first time that day.

My wedding: me & my girls

Como podem ver nas imagens, as minhas cinco meninas preencheram o nosso dia com muitos momentos coloridos. Todas com vestidos e cores diferentes mas unidas pelo melhor acessório de todos - um sorriso lindo e contagiante!

Os bouquets de feltro das meninas, foram feitos pelas mãos da querida Ana Pereira do blog Amora Silvestre. A minha ideia era oferecer-lhes algo que pudessem guardar para sempre, juntamente com as memórias daquele dia.

As you can see, my five girls brought so much colorfull moments to our special day. Each one with a different color dress but all wearing the most important acessory of all - a bright and contagious smile!

The girls' bouquets were made of felt flowers by the lovely Ana Pereira from the blog Amora Silvestre. My idea was to give them something they could keep forever, together with the memories of that day.

Lembram-se do vestido maravilhoso que vos mostrei aqui?
Para mim, funcionou um pouco como um 'sneak peak' de um casamento que só podia mesmo ser daqueles em que todos os detalhes nos fazem suspirar.  Na altura, encontrei a imagem do vestido no Pinterest  mas sem referência à fonte e não descansei enquanto não a encontrei!
As imagens captadas pela fabulosa Stephanie Williams, são ainda mais bonitas do que eu imaginava e valem mesmo a pena ser vistas aqui.

Remember this drop dead gourgeous dress I shared with you here?
To me, it worked kinda like a sneak peak, a teaser of what could only be one of those weddings where every single little detail makes your heart beat faster. I spotted the image of the dress on Pinterest with no reference to the source but I didn't rest until I found it and finally, I did! Let me tell you, it was so worth the wait!
The images captured by the fabulous Stepanhie Williams are even better then I could've ever imagined and you can go ahead and drool over the rest of them right here.
