On the last post of the year, I want to share the last images of the most special day of 2011.

2012 has a really hard job, 'cause it's going to be so hard being more awsome then the year ending. But I believe in you, my shiny and brand new 2012. There are great things to come. I can just feel them coming!

Hope your optimism level is as high as mine and that you face everything 2012 holds for you with a smile on your face!

From a simpler time

O nosso fim-de-semana foi passado entre Nazaré, Alcobaça e Batalha. Temos mesmo sítios muito bonitos em Portugal. Perfeitos para visitar em dias frios mas com muito sol à mistura. 

Estas máquinas fotográficas estavam à venda na feira de antiguidades do Mosteiro de Alcobaça e não resisti a fotografá-las. A minha imaginação levou-me logo para os momentos e lugares que tinham sido captados com cada uma e a quem tinham pertencido, num tempo mais simples, muito antes dos megapixéis e do mundo digital... Apetecia-me trazê-las todas para casa!

Our weekend was spent between Nazaré, Alcobaça and Batalha. Portugal really has some beautiful places to visit. Perfect in the cold sunny weather we're having these days.

These vintage cameras were for sale at Alcobaça's Monastery antiques fair and I couldn't resist photographing them. I couldn't help but wonder who did they belong to and what magical moments and places did they capture, in a simpler time way before megapixels and the digital world... I wanted to bring them all home with me!
